According to CNN, Grubb and one other officer confronted Young in a grocery retailer car parking zone on August 24, 2023. The officers had reportedly been knowledgeable of claims that Young was shoplifting from the shop.

Meanwhile, Grubb’s police chief, John Belford, shared a video assertion on Facebook confirming that “disciplinary” motion can be taken in opposition to the officer.
