REO Speedwagon Final Show Setlist and Video Highlights

REO Speedwagon marked the end of an era with their final performance on Saturday at the Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas, wrapping up a remarkable career that lasted nearly six decades. This legendary rock band has left an indelible mark on the music scene, and their farewell concert served as a celebration of their iconic journey.

For those interested, you can explore the set list and watch videos from this memorable performance below.

The concert kicked off with a powerful set that featured tracks from their diamond-certified 1980 album Hi Infidelity, which included the soaring ballad “Keep on Loving You” and the hit “Take It on the Run.” As the show progressed, the audience enjoyed acoustic performances of classics like “Music Man” from 1972 and “In My Dreams” from 1987, alongside timeless hits from the ’70s such as “Keep Pushin’” and “Time for Me to Fly.” The evening culminated in a thrilling encore that included “Can’t Fight This Feeling” and “Roll With the Changes,” with the final chorus enhanced by the enthusiastic participation of V.I.P. guests, including family, crew, and friends.

Lead vocalist Kevin Cronin expressed heartfelt gratitude to the audience, fellow band members, and various associates for their unwavering support over the decades. He shared, “I feel a profound sadness knowing this is the last time we perform as REO Speedwagon, yet I am incredibly thankful for the amazing journey we’ve shared.” He emphasized the bond formed over the years, saying, “We have all been brothers on this incredible musical adventure known as REO Speedwagon. While the name may be retired, the music, spirit, and legacy of REO Speedwagon will continue with me as Kevin Cronin. I invite you all to join us on this next chapter. So, let’s roll with the changes together!”

Kevin Cronin Plans to Keep the Music Alive as a Solo Artist

Fans were taken aback when REO Speedwagon abruptly announced a pause in their touring schedule back in September, citing “irreconcilable differences” which arose from bassist Bruce Hall’s delayed return after undergoing back surgery in 2023. Although Hall had intended to rejoin Cronin for performances, circumstances led to his absence. Additionally, co-founding keyboardist Neal Doughty retired from touring in 2023, leaving Cronin as the sole remaining classic-era member of REO Speedwagon on the road.

Looking ahead, Cronin will take the band’s impressive catalogue of hits on the road as a solo act, joined by guitarist Dave Amato, drummer Bryan Hitt, keyboardist Derek Hilland, and bassist Matt Bissonette — the same talented musicians who contributed to the band’s farewell tour. The group is set to embark on the Brotherhood of Rock tour this summer alongside Styx and Don Felder, spanning from May to August.

Although Cronin recently confided to UCR that the idea of REO Speedwagon’s end is “unfathomable,” he also conveyed his excitement for the future. “I’m not ready to hang up my touring shoes yet. I’m thrilled to be surrounded by such a fantastic group of musicians,” he stated. “The chemistry is remarkable, the music sounds fantastic, and I’m eager to keep this band together for more adventures ahead.”
