A well-executed duel between Nightcrawler and Psylocke could have been a stunning highlight; however, X-Men #9 misses that chance. Additionally, it appears that Nightcrawler’s primary series, Uncanny X-Men, has also opted to overlook his exceptional skills with a blade. It remains perplexing why he hasn’t been allowed to shine as a master swordsman, especially following the upheaval of Krakoa. Nonetheless, as demonstrated in X-Men ’97, Nightcrawler continues to be recognized as one of Marvel’s finest sword fighters.
