Alice the Mad: Insights from Poohniverse’s Director

The Twisted Childhood Universe (TCU) is expanding rapidly, thanks to the enthusiastic reception of each new film within this innovative franchise. The groundbreaking film Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey first conceptualized a universe where beloved childhood characters transform into malevolent figures who revel in violence and horror. Following this, the sequel, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, introduced exciting new characters and attracted a broader audience. Currently, audiences are captivated by the third installment, Peter Pan?s Neverland Nightmare, which is making waves in theaters. Meanwhile, producer and co-director Scott Chambers is diligently preparing for the next thrilling entries in this universe, culminating in an anticipated showdown titled Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble.

In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Chambers shared insights about his upcoming project, which he will direct, titled Alice the Mad. This film promises a mind-bending reimagining of Lewis Carroll?s classic tale Alice in Wonderland. Chambers elaborated that the TCU is structured into phases, reminiscent of the beloved Marvel cinematic universe. He emphasized that Alice the Mad is just one aspect of a comprehensive strategy aimed at broadening the TCU beyond the imminent crossover film, Poohniverse. ?Absolutely, there’s a Phase 2 already in motion, and we?ve begun to announce some of the exciting projects,? he stated.

Chambers also hinted at intriguing narratives on the horizon, revealing, ?We plan to produce Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 and Tigger’s Return, which will focus on Tigger as a standalone character due to the positive response he has received from fans.? Currently, the director is enthusiastic about exploring a unique premise involving an escort agency named the White Rabbit, which adds a distinct twist to the traditional tale.

?Alice is an escort, a sex worker, and the Mad Hatter becomes infatuated with her. My inspirations for this narrative include the movie ‘Opera’, elements of ‘Maniac’ featuring Elijah Wood, and perhaps a touch of ‘MaXXXine’. I?m genuinely excited about this project,? Chambers expressed.

Exciting New Characters Set to Join the Twisted Childhood Universe

With numerous classic characters now in the public domain, Scott Chambers has a vast creative playground to explore. He has previously hinted at some intriguing characters slated to appear in Poohniverse, stating, ?Mary Poppins will join the fray, presenting her as a sinister kiddy snatcher. I can imagine her and Peter Pan forming a chaotic bond that will entertain audiences. Additionally, the Mad Hatter is also set to be included, and I believe these three will be among the most nefarious characters we present. We?ve already introduced Peter Pan, and soon we will unveil the other two characters in their respective films.?
