In an emotional reveal during the premiere of her new E! special Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori & Wayne’s Story, Snoop Dogg‘s only daughter candidly shared the challenges she has faced due to her lifelong battle with lupus and how it has significantly impacted her psychological well-being. This personal account resonates deeply as she highlights the intersection of chronic illness and mental health, emphasizing the importance of awareness and understanding.

“Since I was a little girl, I’ve always struggled with feelings of depression and questioned, ‘why me?’” the 25-year-old recounted in a heartfelt confessional during the Dec. 5 episode. “Being young and dealing with lupus was incredibly challenging. Frequent doctor visits and constant medication, including blood pressure medications, became my norm. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, I found myself plunged into an even darker place, feeling isolated and overwhelmed.”

Cori bravely shared her experience of attempting to end her life during the pandemic, underlining the critical need for open discussions about mental health.

“I was in a mental health facility because I attempted suicide in 2021,” she revealed, expressing vulnerability while acknowledging her fiancé Wayne Duece as a vital source of support during her darkest moments. “I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have Wayne by my side, but it’s important to remember that we’re all facing our own battles. Healing takes time, and when we find ourselves in challenging situations, it can feel like the end of the world. However, with support and understanding, it is possible to overcome these struggles.”
