Despite her sister Ashlee Simpson recently asserting that the rumors surrounding a potential divorce between the “Irresistible” singer and her husband, a former NFL player, are unfounded, Eric has added fuel to the fire by stepping out in public without wearing his wedding ring.
On November 12, the 45-year-old Eric was spotted enjoying quality time with his parents in Los Angeles, as reported by TMZ. He opted for a relaxed look, sporting dark jeans, a black hoodie, a backwards baseball cap, and sunglasses. Notably, while his right hand remained tucked in his jeans pocket, his left hand was conspicuously ringless and swinging freely by his side, which raised eyebrows and added to the speculation.
E! News has reached out to representatives for both Jessica and Eric for comments, but there has been no response from either party as of yet.
The rumors regarding the possible separation of Jessica and Eric—who tied the knot in 2014 and are proud parents to Maxwell, aged 12, Ace, aged 11, and Birdie, aged 5—gained momentum after Jessica was seen out in public without her wedding ring, and her recent Instagram posts also lacked any sign of the jewelry.
