Janelle Brown Accuses Kody of False Financial Claims in Sister Wives
Janelle Challenges Kody’s Financial Management and Family Spending Habits
Expressing her frustrations regarding the family’s struggle to settle the debts for Coyote Pass, Janelle pointed out that Kody had mentioned he was burdened with “all these other debts.” However, she observed him acquiring new assets, such as trailers and home décor items, which raised her eyebrows. “I notice all the art displayed in their home,” she remarked about Robyn and Kody’s residence. “I recognize that I have funds and I indulge in purchases as well.” Kody, defending his choices, explained that a significant portion of his finances was directed toward purchasing vehicles—he humorously claimed he had “basically a fleet”—and ensuring insurance coverage for their children.
Janelle expressed her uncertainty about how Kody and Robyn managed their finances, noting that she was often taken aback by the luxurious state of Robyn’s backyard, which was fully landscaped and well-maintained. “There was always an abundance of items at her house,” Janelle reflected, feeling a mix of admiration and confusion. “And I thought, ‘Wow. Huh.'” This observation led her to ponder the discrepancies in their financial priorities.
Ultimately, Janelle emphasized, “He doesn’t seem to prioritize my needs or desires.” This ongoing issue took an emotional toll on her. “Over time, I started to notice it more, and my children became very frustrated about the situation, especially my adult kids. They would say, ‘What the hell, Mom?'” Their reactions highlighted the growing tension within the family dynamic.
In contrast, Robyn shared her perspective, explaining that she had become meticulous with her finances after her first marriage ended. “I used to struggle with managing money,” she admitted during the September 22 episode. “My early experiences were tough, but I learned valuable budgeting skills during my divorce.” When discussing her sister wives, she noted, “It simply appears that our financial priorities differ, and that’s okay.”
