“We’re actively researching various cities across Europe and some locations in the Caribbean,” she mentioned, while also noting that she is aware of many individuals contemplating similar moves.
In her discourse, she drew a powerful parallel between the current anti-LGBTQ sentiments fostered by the Trump administration and the historical context of Weimar Germany: “There was a vibrant community of queer individuals in Berlin before the rise of Nazism, who were subsequently targeted alongside Jewish populations, immigrants, and members of the queer and trans communities.”
“While I strive to manage my fears, I can’t help but feel scared. As someone in the public eye, despite my privileges, the fear is palpable, especially knowing I could be a target. The campaign has reportedly invested nearly $100 million on anti-trans advertising, which is profoundly alarming,” she articulated.
