Nicole Daedone Addresses Allegations Against OneTaste Cult
Transforming Women’s Well-Being Through Orgasmic Meditation: The OneTaste Journey
Founded in 2005 by Nicole Daedone, OneTaste was established with a mission to enhance women’s overall well-being by offering classes in orgasmic meditation. These unique sessions are designed as 15-minute partnered practices that provide a nurturing and secure environment where women can freely express their sexual desires and explore their sensuality. This innovative approach to wellness garnered significant attention and led to a transformation in how intimacy and sexual expression are perceived. In 2017, Daedone sold the company, which is now known as the Institute of OM. However, the company has faced serious allegations, particularly following the 2022 release of the Netflix documentary Orgasm Inc., which highlighted troubling accounts from former employees regarding the program’s environment.
According to NBC News, prosecutors have accused Daedone of exploiting vulnerable individuals, particularly those with past trauma. It is alleged that she manipulated victims into financial hardship by encouraging them to open lines of credit to finance their courses. The accusations further suggest that participants were coerced into living in communal housing conditions and were pressured into engaging in sexual acts with investors and clients, raising serious ethical concerns about the practices within the organization.
In response to these serious allegations, Daedone has dismissed them as mere “cut and paste,” asserting that the integrity of the practice was never compromised. She emphasized that at OneTaste, the foundation of their approach was firmly rooted in the principles of consent. “If I talk to you about the practice, from the very moment I would say to you, ‘You can say yes or no,’ and no is a perfectly acceptable answer throughout the practice itself,” Daedone stated. This insistence on consent highlights the complex dynamics at play within the organization and raises questions about the true nature of the experiences shared by participants.
