Nonpoint Drummer Addresses Hospitalization Rumors

Renowned Nonpoint drummer Robb Rivera has recently addressed and dispelled various rumors following his unexpected hospitalization earlier this week, which raised concerns among fans and followers.

During an electrifying performance in Louisville on Sunday night, January 12, the band was forced to cut their show short due to Rivera experiencing an elevated heart rate. After a temporary pause, the band made an effort to resume the performance; however, paramedics intervened, ultimately taking the drummer to the hospital via ambulance for further evaluation.

The band’s charismatic frontman, Elias Soriano, took to Nonpoint’s social media channels a few hours later to ease fans’ worries, confirming that Rivera was stable at the hospital and that his heart rate had returned to a normal range. In a recent video clip posted on their page, Rivera addressed the swirling rumors that emerged in the wake of the incident.

“We’re gearing up to load in because we’re performing tonight,” Rivera stated energetically from the drum riser at the venue in Greensboro, North Carolina, where they were scheduled to continue their tour.

Reflecting on the incident, Rivera described it as a stressful, emotional, and frightening experience. Thankfully, the medical team was able to stabilize his heart rate almost immediately, performing several tests to rule out any serious conditions or injuries. He expressed immense appreciation for the swift actions of the healthcare professionals involved.

“However, I feel compelled to address the hurtful comments claiming this was drug-related; shame on you,” he asserted firmly. “Anyone who truly knows me is aware that I do not use drugs in any form, nor do I consume alcohol,” he emphasized, clarifying his stance to dispel any misconceptions.

Rivera further elaborated, “In my younger days, I might have indulged occasionally, but I have never struggled with addiction. To those who spread these falsehoods, I could respond harshly, but I choose to rise above that. To everyone who reached out with support, I sincerely appreciate you and love you all.”

Nonpoint’s tour is set to continue tonight at Hangar 1819 in Greensboro. Stay tuned for the exciting performance and check out the full schedule of their tour dates on their official website.
