Sarah Burton Givenchy Creative Director
Almost a yr to the date that Sarah Burton introduced her departure from Alexander McQueen, the designer is introduced as Givenchy artistic director. Burton spent over 25 years at McQueen, and took over from the revered designer upon his tragic passing in 2010. Burton’s newest artistic appointment fills the void left by Matthew M. Williamson, who departed the LVMH-owned vogue home in December 2023 after a quick 3-year stint to deal with his personal label. Burton, who was awarded the Special Recognition Award on the 2023 Fashion Awards, will oversee each womenswear and menswear and is about to current her debut Givenchy assortment in March 2025 through the Fall 2025 Paris Fashion Week festivities.
