Tim Lambesis Addresses Disturbing Videos and Allegations

Shortly after the videos began circulating, Tim Lambesis issued an official statement addressing the situation. In his remarks, he claims that the source of the domestic disturbance originates from his wife, Dany. This woman has assaulted me and subjected me to verbal and mental abuse for three years. I finally took the essential step of delivering divorce papers yesterday. The backlash I am experiencing online today is a direct result of my decision to leave.

The evidence I have includes:

• Videos of her pursuing me around the house with a knife or scissors
• Video evidence of her demanding I delete recordings of her physical assaults under threats of violence
• Photographic evidence of injuries she inflicted on me, supported by witness accounts
• Testimonies of threats made against me if I attempted to leave, even temporarily

While she may attempt to portray my anxious reactions as the focus, it is crucial to remember that my panic-driven responses are vastly different from the abusive actions I have detailed above.

The timing of these aggressive public attacks is directly related to my serving her divorce papers yesterday, following days of her pleading for me to stay while simultaneously engaging in manipulative behavior.

This situation is a blatant act of retaliation against my decision to finally escape a relationship that I should have left long ago.

Dany Lambesis Responds to Abuse Allegations

As tensions mounted and members began to exit the As I Lay Dying lineup, Dany took to social media to address allegations of an abusive relationship, which had fueled speculation online. In her first public statement after reactivating her social media account, which had temporarily been set to private, she vehemently denied the abuse accusations, labeling them as “unfounded” and “completely false.” Dany expressed her deep sorrow over the situation and insisted that “there has never been an incident that warrants such accusations.”

She continued her defense by stating, “It is entirely unjust that the narrative has developed in this way, with no regard for my voice in the matter.” In her closing remarks, Dany requested respect for their privacy during this turbulent time and urged others to refrain from perpetuating these damaging rumors.

Impact of Recent Departures from As I Lay Dying and Austrian Death Machine

In a significant turn of events during late October into early November, several band members from Tim Lambesis‘ two musical projects began to step away from their roles. The first to depart was bassist Ryan Neff, followed by Ken Susi, Nick Pierce, and eventually the longest-tenured member, Phil Sgrosso.

Ken Susi cited a crisis of “personal morals” as the reason for his departure, while Nick Pierce emphasized the need to distance himself for the sake of his health and integrity. Phil Sgrosso voiced concerns over “concerning patterns of behavior” within the band, stating that the current environment was no longer healthy or safe for those involved.

In a similar vein, drummer Brandon Short of Austrian Death Machine also exited, stating his departure was necessary for his mental well-being and alignment with his personal beliefs. With Tim Lambesis now as the sole member of As I Lay Dying, he acknowledged the unhealthy environment that had developed within the band, yet affirmed his support for all members who chose to leave and expressed openness to discussions about the assumptions made about him.
