Although Pride Month is still a few months away, the vibrant city of West Hollywood is gearing up to launch its celebrations early, and this year, they have an exciting lineup of pop stars to set the tone.
On Friday, March 21, the Outloud Music Festival officially announced that the chart-topping artists Lizzo and Lil Nas X will headline the festivities during the weekend of May 31 and June 1 at WeHo Pride. This annual festival promises to be a spectacular event, featuring an array of performances from talented musical guests including Kim Petras, Honey Dijon, Paris Hilton, and many others. As part of the ongoing celebration, these renowned artists will contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of WeHo Pride, returning to the festival in 2025 alongside stars like Shygirl, Pabllo Vittar, Rebecca Black, and Empress Of, making this an unforgettable weekend.
“At a time when our LGBTQ+ rights and visibility are under scrutiny, it’s crucial for the community, along with allies, organizations, and advocates, to unite in a show of solidarity,” stated Jeff Consoletti, the founder and executive producer of OUTLOUD. “This festival serves as a vital platform to celebrate and empower queer artists on a grand scale. As we continue to expand our reach, our influence grows in elevating the LGBTQ+ community within the entertainment industry, showcasing the talent and resilience of our artists.”
This exciting announcement coincides with Lizzo’s much-anticipated comeback. With her latest single “Still Bad” and the forthcoming album titled Love in Real Life, Lizzo has expressed her desire to create “real music with radical joy” in the upcoming months. Addressing the serious allegations of sexual harassment that surfaced in 2023, she stated that these challenges were meant to “destroy” her but instead, they have liberated her. “Now I understand that none of this is real. What truly matters is the love I share with my family, friends, nature, and my fans, in Real Life,” she shared on X.
Lil Nas X is also making waves in the music scene with the release of new tracks from his upcoming album Dreamboy. Following the launch of five new songs in mid-March, he has just unveiled his latest single “Lean On My Body.” This fan-favorite track was originally teased back in 2022, a reminder he shared with his followers when he reposted the original clip on X, generating excitement among his dedicated fan base.
