Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks kicked off their highly anticipated 2025 tour yesterday at the historic Rialto Theatre in Tucson, Arizona. The performance featured an electrifying 10-song set that showcased a blend of Yes classics, exciting new solo material, and even marked the live debuts of two songs, much to the delight of fans.
For those interested in the full setlist and performance highlights, you can find it detailed below.
According to setlist.fm, Anderson had to omit two songs from his planned setlist due to a delayed start. While some rock aficionados might be disappointed by an artist playing only 10 songs, Anderson made sure the audience experienced an enriching performance. He opened the show with the epic, 18-and-a-half-minute Yes classic “Close to the Edge“, followed by other cherished tracks from his legendary band, including the timeless “Perpetual Change” from 1971 and “And You and I” from Close to the Edge.
The second half of the show featured a trio of beloved Yes hits that had the audience singing along: “I’ve Seen All Good People“, “Owner of a Lonely Heart“, and “Roundabout“.

During this spectacular performance, Anderson also introduced two tracks from his latest solo album, “True“, released in 2024. The nearly 10-minute song “Counties and Countries” made its debut early in the evening, followed later by the captivating 16-and-a-half-minute “Once Upon a Dream“.
The iconic octogenarian rocker recently shared with Ultimate Classic Rock Nights his enthusiasm for performing “Once Upon a Dream” live. He expressed, “I can’t wait to do this song on stage next spring. Because it was conceived more or less spontaneously,” he recalled. “Over a period of two days, we stuck it together with super glue. That’s what happens with music. You know, you can jump back to ‘Close to the Edge,’ how was that created? We didn’t just record it in one afternoon; it was done in sections. This was exactly the same principle, where eventually the music took over.”
Anderson’s exciting tour continues this Thursday in Anaheim, California, promising even more unforgettable moments for fans.
