This special release is titled Enjoy the Ride and showcases an extensive collection of concert recordings that span from 1969 to 1994. Fans can look forward to a treasure trove of unreleased performances sourced from 20 different venues over a quarter-century period, featuring a staggering total of 450 tracks and more than 60 hours of captivating music that encapsulates the spirit of the band.

A detailed statement emphasized: “Enjoying The Ride charts an epic cross-country journey along the renowned ‘Heady Highway,’ with stops at celebrated venues where the music, atmosphere, and magic of the Grateful Dead consistently merged, inspiring the band to reach new artistic heights.”

This remarkable box set includes live recordings from iconic locations such as Winterland, Frost Amphitheatre, Madison Square Garden, and Hampton Coliseum. The statement further elaborated, “Whether performing in the intimate setting of Fillmore West or under the vast skies at Red Rocks, the Grateful Dead crafted unique experiences, ensuring that no two shows were ever the same.” Enjoying the Ride stands as a thrilling tribute to this adventurous and innovative spirit.
Out of the 20 shows featured in this extensive collection, 17 are presented in their entirety, with select performances including additional material sourced from the same venues. Apart from a handful of tracks from prior releases, nearly all of the music included in this collection has never been heard before, making it a must-have for both die-hard fans and new listeners alike.
The highly anticipated Enjoying the Ride box set is limited to just 6,000 copies. It is set for release on May 30, and fans can pre-order their copy now to ensure they don’t miss out. Additionally, a condensed version titled The Music Never Stopped will also be available on the same day in various formats, including 6LP, 3CD, and digital formats, providing more options for fans to enjoy the band’s extensive catalog.
