Goodbye June Share Music Video For New Song, ‘Pile of Bones’
A handful of weeks right after joining Chuck Armstrong on Loudwire Nights to celebrate their upcoming record, Deep In the Trouble, Goodbye June have provided fans a different taste of what to count on — this time with the extremely heavy track, “Pile of Bones,” and its accompanying music video.
As 1 of the frames describes in the opening of the video, “This is a song about grief.”
“Pile of Bones” is a great deal far more than a song about grief, although it really is deeply individual for Goodbye June.
Tyler Baker, Landon Milbourn and Brandon Qualkenbush — bandmates and cousins — all seasoned unexpected and tragic loss that led to “Pile of Bones.”
That loss is explained clearly close to the opening of the music video, following some chilling clips from neighborhood newscasts:
On Jan 22nd, 2024, Tyler’s dad — Brandon and Landon’s uncle — David Baker, passed away in a residence explosion brought on by a gas leak in Jasper, Indiana.
As if that wasn’t adequate to make the song and video effective and cathartic, the band confronted their grief in an unthinkable way: They filmed the music video in the middle of the ruins of that residence explosion — a residence that they had spent days upon days dreaming about the future of Goodbye June.

Goodbye June, “Pile of Bones” Lyrics
Deep in the desert
A passage of time
Deep in the problems
That I’m positive I will uncover
A deeper connection for a deeper error
Hold onto me infant
This could be appreciate
Or I could break
I could breakIt’s lonely on this pile of bones
I constructed it for myselfMoment to moment
Searching for years
A appreciate stained note
That I wrote for you dear
It’s challenging in the city, and it really is challenging on the land
The graveyard is complete
I can barely standI’m miles above whats left of appreciate
And absolutely everyone else is complete of themselves
I’m miles above on this pile of bones
