Is Beyoncé Performing at the DNC? Here’s the Truth
This ain’t Texas—it is the Democratic National Convention.
Beyoncé‘s rep is laying the playing cards down, down, down, down and shutting down rumors that the singer is making a shock look Aug. 22 at the Chicago political occasion—held to rejoice Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee for the 2024 U.S. presidential elections, in addition to her working mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
“Beyoncé was never scheduled to be there,” the rep instructed The Hollywood Reporter. “The report of a performance is untrue.”
Although she did not take the stage at the DNC, different stars addressed the crowd, together with Pink, Kerry Washington, Maren Morris and Mindy Kaling—who even supplied a supportive message to fellow Massachusettsans Ben Affleck amid his divorce from Jennifer Lopez.
“I couldn’t leave here without giving a shoutout to the amazing delegation from my home state, Massachusetts,” she shared on Aug. 21, the second day of the three-day conference. “I love you, Massachusetts. Everyone is always hating on us, but they just don’t get it.”
