The 2024 Venice Film Festival is formally in full swing, and we can’t get sufficient of the show-stopping glamour that has been on show since day one. Yesterday, for day two, stars from the world of movie and past descended upon the iconic Palazzo del Cinema on the Lido di Venezia for the premiere of Pablo Larraín’s much-anticipated Maria, starring Angelina Jolie as the legendary opera singer Maria Callas. Jolie herself paid homage to Callas, strolling the pink carpet in a customized champagne gold shoulder-to-shoulder neckline (adorned with a pretend fur stool) by Tamara Ralph.

Elsewhere on the pink carpet was Cate Blanchett. The Oscar-winning actress attended the Venice Film Festival premiere of Disclaimer decked out in a Giorgio Armani jumpsuit, full with pearl strands dripping down her backbone. Cate’s co-star HoYeon Jung turned up in a pink floor-length creation from Nicolas Ghesquière at Louis Vuitton and Taylor Russell slayed the sport (but once more) in Loewe.
