Taylor Swift is in her repeat win period.

Swifties have spoken, granting the chairwoman of The Tortured Poets Department her second straight Artist of the Year honor at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 11, making her the first performer to win that exact fan-driven Moonman twice.

And she did not do it both time with a damaged coronary heart (although her boyfriend of greater than a 12 months Travis Kelce had a recreation to arrange for and needed to fly again to Kansas City after their whirlwind romantic weekend in New York).

Add that to the six different awards her work collected tonight, and that makes 30 profession VMAs for Swift, who led the subject with 12 nominations heading into the occasion. She tied Beyonce‘s general document for VMA wins and surpassed the Renaissance performer’s 26 wins as a solo artist.

Before the televised portion of the present kicked off, Taylor has already gained Song of Summer for “Fortnight,” her Tortured Poets jam with Post Malone, and so they had been offered with Best Collaboration at the high of the telecast. Knowing the way to make an entrance, she shut down the carpet near showtime in her punk-inspired yellow and black high-low plaid gown by Dior, accessorized with tall black boots and fierce woven leather-based gauntlets.
