Erin Foster is sharing a narrative that everyone needs.

The Nobody Wants This creator revealed the romantic comedy collection—starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody as a pair attempting to converge their wildly totally different lives—was loosely impressed by her personal real-life romance with husband Simon Tikhman.

“It’s not always like tangible things I can point to,” Erin informed Today.com in an interview printed Sept. 30. “The emotional journey, I would say, is very accurate to my experience of meeting my husband.”

In the Netflix collection, Kristen performs agnostic, sex-positive podcast host Joanne who falls for Jewish rabbi Noah, portrayed by Adam. Joanne weighs whether or not to transform to Judaism, which Erin did in actual life forward of her 2019 wedding ceremony.

But the screenwriter wasn’t all the time open to the thought of changing. When she met Simon, she recalled pondering, “‘This is my worldview. No one’s going to be able to change it. These are my habits. They are what they are.’”
