Rumors have been rampant for months relating to Slimane’s future on the LVMH-owned style home. Speculation continues to mount that the French designer is to take up the mantle as artistic director of Chanel (following the abrupt departure of Virginie Viard in June). Slimane signed on the dotted line with Celine in 2018, having loved a stint as Saint Laurent artistic director from 2012 till 2016.
