John Amos’ trigger of demise has been confirmed.

The Roots star, who died Aug. 21 at age 84, succumbed to congestive coronary heart failure, in keeping with his demise certificates obtained by TMZ. The doc additionally states that no post-mortem was carried out on his physique, and he was cremated Aug. 30, 9 days after his passing.

But whereas the Good Times alum handed in August, it wasn’t till October that his son, Kelly Christopher “K.C.” Amos, confirmed his demise.

“He was a man with the kindest heart and a heart of gold… and he was loved the world over,” K.C. instructed Deadline in an Oct. 1 assertion. “Many fans consider him their TV father. He lived a good life. His legacy will live on in his outstanding works in television and film as an actor.”

The assertion continued, “My father loved working as an actor throughout his entire life…. most recently in Suits LA playing himself and our documentary about his life journey as an actor, America’s Dad. He was my dad, my best friend, and my hero.”
