Writer and producer Allison McGourty shared insights into the extensive research process behind the film: “We spent five years flying back and forth across the Atlantic, scouring attics and basements in pursuit of rare and unseen film footage, photographs, and music recordings.” She further explained that they utilized custom techniques to ensure that the 55-year-old clips and music would look and sound pristine in IMAX, creating an immersive experience that feels fresh and engaging.

Earlier this year, Led Zeppelin’s iconic guitarist and producer Jimmy Page expressed his satisfaction with the film, noting that previous project proposals had failed to capture the essence of the band’s music. He stated, “They’d want to be concentrating on anything but the music, and consequently, I would recoil immediately from that sort of thing.” However, he is enthusiastic about Becoming Led Zeppelin, praising its focus on the music itself. “It’s everything about the music and what would make the music tick,” he said, emphasizing that the film features complete versions of songs rather than mere snippets.
