According to WESH, on Friday, December 6, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office responded to an emergency call. The caller claimed that he sustained a stab wound to his leg while he was asleep. Disturbingly, he also reported that the woman he had been sleeping next to had suffered severe stab injuries. His injury was sustained when he attempted to protect her by kicking the assailant. This alarming situation prompted him to flee to a neighbor’s residence for help, highlighting the severity of the attack.

Upon the arrival of law enforcement, they discovered Stevens’ 16-year-old son, who was thankfully asleep during the harrowing event. Tragically, Stevens was found on her bedroom floor with “between 20 and up to 70” stab wounds, a testament to the brutality of the attack.
