The findings of this study reflect a compelling trend among rock aficionados, particularly those who are fans of bands from New York.

Securing the number one position, Pink Floyd has proven to be the most influential rock band when it comes to tattoo art, inspiring a significant number of tattoo pieces. Following closely in the rankings, Guns N’ Roses has also captured the imagination of many tattoo enthusiasts, ranking as the second most popular choice. The top ten list further includes renowned bands such as Nirvana, Metallica, and Slipknot, showcasing the diverse range of musical influences that inspire body art.

“We’ve had numerous clients in our studio who have chosen tattoo designs inspired by these artists, and while some results align with expectations, others reveal surprising inclusions and notable omissions from the list.”
