Kygo’s New Miami Waterfront Hotel Opening Soon

Kygo’s musical creations have consistently evoked the essence of a serene waterfront resort, and now, he and his team have transformed that vision into a tangible reality.

Introducing the Palm Tree Club, an innovative hotel and restaurant project spearheaded by the Palm Tree Crew, the expansive company co-founded by the renowned Norwegian producer Kygo and his manager Myles Shear. This exciting new destination is set to open its doors in Miami on December 21, revitalizing the former Shuckers Waterfront Bar & Grill. This revamped property features a 150-room hotel, meticulously redesigned to embody the relaxed, tropical vibe that defines both Kygo and the Palm Tree Crew.

The building, originally constructed in the 1970s, showcases the distinct Miami Modern (MiMo) architectural style, which gained popularity in the city and throughout South Florida in the post-World War II era. In addition to its MiMo roots, the hotel embraces elements of Art Deco, with elegantly styled rooms that reflect this iconic aesthetic. Guests will enjoy a plethora of amenities, including a restaurant, a state-of-the-art 24-hour fitness center, and a 20-slip marina, allowing boating enthusiasts to conveniently arrive for dinner by water.

“Hospitality has always been central to the live experiences crafted by Palm Tree Crew,” Shear shares with Billboard. “We are incredibly excited to extend this philosophy to our very own venue, where we aim to provide a carefully curated, year-round experience blending exceptional hotel accommodations, exquisite dining, and vibrant entertainment. Having fond memories of visiting Shuckers, I am enthusiastic about honoring its legacy while elevating the experience for both local residents and visitors alike.”

The launch of this resort marks a significant expansion of the Palm Tree Crew brand, which already encompasses the popular annual Palm Tree Festival held in luxurious locations like the Hamptons and Aspen. This multifaceted empire also includes an artist management division, a record label, and an array of innovative food and beverage initiatives.

The concept of a resort has been a long-standing goal for Kygo and Shear, who revealed to Billboard in 2022 that they drew inspiration from the legendary Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville empire, which encompasses music, resorts, restaurants, events, and various lifestyle offerings.

“He established numerous spaces where [his fans] can gather — it’s not solely about attending his concerts. It can be at his hotel or a Margaritaville bar,” Kygo emphasized in 2022. “What we aspire to create is something that transcends music. We aim to foster a community, a movement.”

Palm Tree Club Miami represents a dynamic collaboration between the Palm Tree Crew, the Miami-based management firm Think Hospitality, and the real estate development firm Continuum Company, which has a presence in both Miami and New York City.
