Jeff Lynne’s Full-Time Studio Return After ELO’s Final Show

Jeff Lynne has made it clear that while the Electric Light Orchestra will be concluding its journey, this decision does not signify the end of his illustrious musical career. The iconic musician reassured fans that he is far from finished with creating music and will continue to pursue his passion.

In an exciting announcement made in October, Lynne revealed that the band is set to perform their final concert in Hyde Park, London, on July 13. This event will mark the conclusion of a remarkable chapter for a band he revitalized in 2001, with a return to regular touring in 2014. By the time of this last performance, Lynne will be celebrating his 77th birthday, highlighting a lifetime dedicated to music.

“I’m genuinely satisfied with everything I’ve accomplished, and the audience’s responses to our performances and music have been truly remarkable,” Lynne shared in a recent interview with Mojo. “This is definitely not a goodbye to music; rather, I am eagerly looking forward to diving back into the studio full-time, which is my true passion!”

Discovering Joy in Touring: Jeff Lynne’s Unexpected Delight

In 2019, Jeff Lynne, who is predominantly recognized for his affinity for studio work, candidly admitted that he had not anticipated enjoying touring as much as he has. “I’m having the time of my life,” he revealed to Variety.

“Just because I don’t leap around or perform acrobatics doesn’t mean I’m not enjoying myself; I genuinely am. I focus on singing and playing, which I believe is sufficient, as I aim to deliver the best sound possible. My goal has always been to recreate the sound that I envisioned for ELO from the very beginning, and it has finally come to fruition.”
