The talented 37-year-old actress, alongside her equally gifted 37-year-old musician husband, marked this significant milestone over the weekend with heartfelt reflections on their journey together.

They exchanged vows in a deeply personal and intimate wedding ceremony held at their home on December 21, 2019, creating a beautiful memory that has blossomed into a wonderful partnership.

While the couple is known for their playful approach to celebrating holidays, birthdays, and various life events, this time they chose a more sentimental and meaningful way to commemorate their love.

“Five remarkable years married today to my dream girl and my best friend. Lying beside you in bed, utterly exhausted after a thrilling day of skiing with our four kids, I can’t help but feel incredibly lucky. You chose me to embark on this challenging journey together,” Matthew expressed in a touching Instagram post, accompanied by a series of wedding photos.

“I know this might sound mundane, especially since I find it hard to connect with most people, but you inspire me in ways that encourage me to embrace joy and laughter more than I ever believed possible,” he continued. “Thank you for understanding me better than I understand myself and for guiding me away from potential pitfalls I might have fallen into without your wisdom. You have filled these first five years with so many beautiful experiences. While we’re just at the beginning of our journey, I have complete faith that you’ll guide us all the way home. And if not, at least I’ll have an amazing highlight reel to revisit while living in a cozy one-bedroom condo in the heart of the San Fernando Valley with a guy named Sid who has a pet axolotl. You will always be my forever Luigi, and I love you dearly.”

Hilary chimed in on the comments, saying, “As long as you’re referring to the right Luigi, I’m all in forever, my love. Just a heads up, it better be a large Diet Coke at lunch because we’re aiming for the gold today. Happy five years, my darling (can this comment serve as my dedication?).”

The How I Met Your Father star also took to her Instagram story to post several delightful photos and videos to honor their special day.

Hilary and Matthew are proud parents to three beautiful daughters – Banks, 6, Mae, 3, and Townes, seven months – in addition to her son Luca, 12, from her previous marriage.

Earlier this year, prior to the arrival of Townes, Matthew candidly shared that he had undergone a vasectomy, marking a significant moment in their family planning journey.
