Abigail Breslin Critiques Women’s Crucifixion in Blake Lively Case

Abigail Breslin is bravely sharing her personal experiences with toxic masculinity in the entertainment industry.

In the wake of Blake Lively’s serious allegations against Justin Baldoni, the acclaimed star of Little Miss Sunshine, Breslin reflected on her own journey dealing with the damaging effects of toxic masculinity in Hollywood.

“In light of recent events regarding the attempt to destroy the career and livelihood of a fellow actress and woman,” Breslin expressed in her heartfelt message shared on Instagram on December 28, “I felt compelled to share my story, as I have unfortunately faced the same toxic masculinity throughout my life and career.”

At just 28 years old, Breslin referenced her own ongoing legal battle, although she chose not to go into detail in her statement. In November 2023, she initiated a lawsuit against her Classified co-star Aaron Eckhart, accusing him of “aggressive, demeaning, and unprofessional behavior” that she claimed put her “in peril,” according to documents obtained by Rolling Stone. As of now, Eckhart has not publicly addressed these allegations.

“In my recent career, I raised concerns about a male colleague, only to be labeled as ‘hysterical,’” she recalled. “I was dismissed, with my fears being reduced to mere figments of my imagination. As I begin to observe this troubling pattern emerge more frequently, I realize that this is disturbingly becoming the norm in our industry.”
