Aubrey Plaza Deactivates Instagram Following Jeff Baena’s Passing

Aubrey Plaza Shares Heartfelt Response to the Tragic Passing of Her Husband Jeff Baena: “An Unimaginable Heartache”

Aubrey Plaza is currently taking a necessary break from social media platforms as she navigates the profound grief following the tragic loss of her husband, Jeff Baena.

In the wake of the director’s untimely death at the age of 47, which occurred just over a week ago, the White Lotus actress has seemingly chosen to deactivate her Instagram account. When attempting to visit her profile, users are met with a message indicating “page not found” or “no photos yet,” highlighting her absence from the platform during this difficult time.

Baena, a talented writer-director renowned for his collaboration with Plaza on various creative projects over the past decade, tragically died by suicide on January 3, as confirmed by records from the Los Angeles medical examiner.

Plaza and the Baena/Stern family expressed their sorrow in a heartfelt statement obtained by E! News on January 6, stating, “This is an unimaginable tragedy. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time of mourning.”

While Plaza and Baena, who first crossed paths in 2011, maintained a relatively private relationship, the Parks and Recreation alum had previously utilized Instagram to publicly affirm their marriage.

In a touching post in May 2021, Plaza shared her pride for her husband with the message, “So proud of my darling husband @jeffbaena,” while she was engaged in the production of the film Spin Me Round. She added, “for dreaming up another film that takes us to Italia to cause some more trouble,” showcasing their creative bond and shared adventures.
