Surprisingly, only two rock bands made the cut: Nickelback and Santana. Nickelback claimed the No. 24 spot with their iconic track “How You Remind Me,” which hails from their groundbreaking 2001 album, Silver Side Up. Securing the coveted top spot on Billboard’s song list is The Weeknd with his chart-topping sensation “Blinding Lights.” Following closely are Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ upbeat anthem “Uptown Funk.” The Top 10 also features renowned artists like The Black Eyed Peas, Ed Sheeran, Morgan Wallen, Dua Lipa, and Mariah Carey, each contributing to the diverse musical landscape of the century.

In a more favorable light for rock, Billboard’s Top 200 Albums of the 21st Century list showcases a broader array of rock talent. This includes notable names like Nickelback, Santana, The Beatles, and Guns N’ Roses, who collectively earned 19 spots on this prestigious ranking, highlighting the genre’s enduring popularity.
