Beyoncé Celebrates Album Win with Shoutout to Daughter Rumi

Beyoncé made sure to acknowledge her youngest daughter, Rumi Carter, during a momentous occasion.

The renowned artist, celebrated for her powerful performance in “16 Carriages,” made waves at the 2025 Grammys by cementing her status as the most awarded artist in the history of the Grammys, now boasting 35 prestigious trophies. This milestone also included her first-ever Album of the Year award for the critically acclaimed album Cowboy Carter. This achievement not only highlights her exceptional talent but also underscores her influence within the music industry.

Accompanied on stage by her daughter Blue Ivy, who is now 13, and with her husband Jay-Z watching proudly from the audience, Beyoncé dedicated her historic win to the pioneering country artist Linda Martell. During her heartfelt acceptance speech, she expressed gratitude to the Grammys, every songwriter, collaborator, and producer who contributed to her success. However, she later mentioned a specific shoutout she wished she had made.

“It’s incredibly surreal to reflect on this moment, especially after 25 years of unwavering dedication and hard work,” the award-winning singer shared in an interview with ET following her monumental win. “I feel deeply honored, and it’s a special joy that my daughter was able to witness this milestone alongside me.” Her words radiated excitement and pride, highlighting the significance of this achievement in her illustrious career.

Beyoncé humorously remarked, “[She’s] taller than me, and I must admit, I don?t like it at all!” referring to her daughter Blue. “I?m thrilled she was here to celebrate, and I also wanted to mention Rumi, my youngest daughter, who contributed to the album. I realized I forgot to thank her during my speech, so I want to take this moment to express my gratitude. Thank you, Rumi!”
