During her appearance on The Graham Norton Show, the 37-year-old actress candidly discussed her experience, emphasizing that this was her first significant role as a romantic lead.

“It felt strange to transition into this romantic lead role,” she expressed, noting that “it’s a sexy show.” Nicola elaborated, stating, “Many sensual scenes occur throughout the series, and I quickly realized I would be participating in those intimate moments.”

She also shared insights about how someone close to her reacted to the situation.

Nicola revealed that her mother was particularly upset about the more risqué scenes featured in this season of Bridgerton.

“My mother was incredibly furious with me regarding those scenes — as though I had any control over them, so I chose not to attend the screening with her,” she recalled, as reported by the London Evening Standard.

Earlier this year, Nicola disclosed that she had personally requested to film one notably “very naked” scene as a powerful statement against the body shaming she has faced online. Additionally, she mentioned a particular requirement regarding sex scenes that was included in her contract.
