Carly’s Adoptive Parents Feud With Catelynn & Tyler

Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell Share Insights on Their Adoption Journey with Daughter Carly

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are openly addressing their ongoing challenges with their 15-year-old daughter Carly‘s adoptive parents, providing valuable context to their emotional journey.

The stars of Teen Mom made the difficult decision to place Carly for adoption in 2009, a choice that has significantly shaped their family dynamics. Since then, they have joyfully welcomed three more children: Nova, age 10; Vaeda, age 6; and Rya, who is 3 years old. During a recent episode of the podcast Cate & Ty: Break It Down, they discussed the fallout with Teresa Davis and Brandon Davis, Carly’s adoptive parents, shedding light on the complexities of their relationship.

The tension reportedly started over some photographs of Carly that Catelynn and Tyler shared during a visit two years prior. Catelynn recounted an incident where she and her husband took a picture while walking together, highlighting the backs of their heads. “It was all of us walking and it was the back of us,” Catelynn elaborated during the April 1 episode. Tyler also shared a photo featuring himself, Carly, and Nova, again capturing the back of their heads.

Despite what they believed was a mutual understanding about sharing such images, the couple revealed that Teresa and Brandon confronted them regarding the posted pictures. Tyler explained, “They said, ‘Only the back of her head. If you can’t see her face, we’re fine with it.'” This incident reveals the nuanced complexities of navigating open adoption and the sensitive nature of privacy in such relationships.
