Chanel Haute Couture Review: Spring 2025 Collection Insights
Day two of Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week continues to showcase the vibrant energy of the French capital. This morning, fashion enthusiasts and industry insiders gathered in the stunningly renovated Grand Palais for the much-anticipated Chanel showcase. Although we must wait until October for the exciting debut of Matthieu Blazy as the new creative director, the talented Chanel design studio is still responsible for the exquisite collections. During the Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2025 presentation, the design team honored an impressive 110 years of Chanel couture, transforming the historic venue into a fashion paradise. With celebrities such as Kylie Jenner, Pamela Anderson, and Lily-Rose Depp in attendance, models elegantly navigated an elevated stage designed to echo the iconic interlocking CC logo. The collection featured soft pastel hues, intricate lace embellishments, flowing capes, and concluded with the iconic Chanel bride, Lulu Tenney, showcasing a stunning finale.

“Blazy can’t come soon enough…” [LadyJunon]
“Absolutely horrible. The shadow of Virginie Viard is still haunting Chanel. Can’t wait for Matthieu Blazy to take over and clean that mess!” [Olaffo]
“Disappointed with this one. The design team managed to make outfits look juvenile and dated at the same time.” [FashionPower]
“Worst Chanel bride ever.” [prylvi]
“Matthieu can only be an improvement from that. What a weird collection. In terms of proportions, it looked right but the colors, the styling, the details made it look so dated.” [Lola701]
“I do not know if Blazy will save Chanel, but I am sure it won’t be this flat and boring.” [Salvatore]
“The set design and music is rather nice. The collection is just awkward. Not as bad as some of those Virginie shows but it’s all so so lost. And to me it’s further let down by the cast. They just have no capacity to have anything look somewhat decent.” [Cocteau Stone]
“The Chanel design team did a beautiful job again. I love many of the looks, daywear and evening wear alike, and the color palette is alive and gorgeous. The clothes look lighter and breezier. The design is more interesting. Bravo!” [MModa]
