Combat Jack Honored With Street Naming In Brooklyn On Birthday
Combat Jack‘s legacy will forever live on in his hometown of Brooklyn as a street has been named after him.
On what would have been his 55th birthday on Monday (July 8), a section of Bergen Street in Crown Heights was officially renamed Reggie “Combat Jack” Ossé Place in honor of the beloved Hip Hop personality.
Combat’s son, NYC council member Chi Ossé, posted a photograph on Instagram of the newly-unveiled road signal together with the caption: “Today, we named a street for my dad on the block where he raised us, happy birthday @reggieosse.”
His publish was flooded with constructive feedback from a lot of his father’s pals and friends, with former podcast co-host Premium Pete writing: “Love to see it! Pops would be so proud, you made that happen.
“He was many things to many people but always and I mean always told me his greatest thing is being a Dad! His Light will SHINE BRIGHT Forever…. LLCJ.”

News of Combat Jack being honored along with his personal road was first introduced final summer season by his former co-host A-King.
“Family, Friends and Community at large, please join us to a momentous occasion as we come together to celebrate the passing of a City Council resolution that will forever honor the legendary Reggie ‘Combat Jack’ Osse,” he wrote on Instagram. “His immeasurable contributions to our community and the world of hip-hop deserve to be recognized and celebrated in a special way.”
He continued: “Reggie ‘Combat Jack’ Osse was not only an influential figure in music and media but also a passionate advocate for justice, culture, and the power of storytelling. With his pioneering work as an iconic podcast host and attorney, he touched the lives of countless individuals and brought marginalized voices to the forefront.”
Combat Jack handed away aged 48 in December 2017 as a result of colon most cancers.
