DDG Addresses Allegations of Using Son Halo for Fame
DDG recently responded to a critical comment from an X (formerly Twitter) user regarding his decision to share images of his son Halo on social media. This exchange took place on Saturday, November 2, highlighting the ongoing discussion about celebrity parenting in the digital age.
DDG’s Thoughtful Response to Criticism About Sharing His Son Halo Online
While Halo’s mother, Halle Bailey, chose to maintain a low profile during her pregnancy, DDG has opted for a different approach by frequently sharing moments of their life with their son. In January, after much speculation about her pregnancy, the former couple joyfully announced the arrival of their first child. Following this, DDG and Halle made a series of adorable posts featuring their son. However, fans eagerly awaited the first clear glimpse of Halo’s face, which was finally revealed in July, generating excitement among their followers.
Although Halo’s parents have split, DDG continues to share insights into their parenting journey with his followers. When an X user, @vjrrma, commented negativity on a recent post featuring Halo, Daddy D calmly and confidently addressed the critique. On November 2, he shared a charming image of Halo beaming with a mouthful of teeth, enjoying a chocolate cupcake. The post was intentionally caption-less, allowing the image to shine. Amid the flurry of over 90 comments, @vjrrma remarked, “Stop using your son for fame you weirdo.”
In a measured response, the streamer stated, “I never understood this narrative when my son can’t even talk yet. He’s ‘famous’ right now because of his parents. If your dad posted you when you were young, no one would care lol,” addressing the criticism head-on.

In addition to sharing his thoughts, both parents have recently posted delightful images celebrating Halo’s first Halloween. Daddy D and Halo dressed as the iconic father-son duo from ‘The Incredibles,’ while Halle and Halo embraced the beloved characters from Disney’s ‘Lilo and Stitch.’ These themed costumes not only showcase their creativity but also reflect the joy of parenting during festive occasions.

As for Halle Bailey, she has yet to publicly comment on her ex-boyfriend’s posts featuring their son. However, back in September, she bravely called out internet trolls who posted negative remarks about their child and her career. Although her post has since been removed, Halle made it crystal clear that she stands firmly against “every negative word” directed towards her family, demonstrating her commitment to protecting her son.
