In a thrilling twist, Dead & Company opened their set with a fresh cover of the Spencer Davis Group’s “Gimme Some Lovin’,” a song they hadn’t performed since their formation in 2015. This energetic track was a staple in the Grateful Dead’s repertoire during the ’80s and ’90s, making its return a nostalgic highlight for long-time fans.
Experience the Innovative Visuals of Dead & Company’s Sphere Performance
As reported by Billboard, the band’s set featured remarkable new visual elements that enhanced the overall concert experience. Notably, the beloved Dancing Bears during the performance of “Bertha” received a modern digital upgrade, transforming into vibrant multicolored pixels that artfully illustrated the band in action.
Another striking visual during “Don’t Ease Me In” drew ecstatic reactions from the audience: a cluster of vintage televisions ascended toward the Sphere’s ceiling, culminating in one massive TV dramatically tumbling down the mountain. This creative display added an exciting layer to the performance, engaging fans in a multi-sensory experience.
The visual extravaganza didn’t stop there. A group of six masked performers, resembling “Teletubbies in human form,” added a quirky touch to the show, striking unusual poses while holding a television that displayed the band playing live. These imaginative visuals contributed to a unique concert atmosphere that kept the audience enthralled throughout the night.

In a nostalgic nod, Uncle Sam made a grand appearance, riding his motorcycle through a whimsical version of Las Vegas, which featured landmarks like the “Terra-Pin Bowl” bowling alley and a playful sign for “Shakedown Street.” This whimsical portrayal added a layer of fun and creativity to the vibrant performance.
