Naniwa Danshi’s electrifying single “Doki it” soars to the top position at No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, for the week ending March 5. This remarkable achievement showcases the band’s growing influence in the J-pop scene.

The celebrated J-pop boy band’s eighth single is prominently featured as the theme song for AOKI’s “Freshers Fair” commercial, which showcases all seven charismatic members. Launching with an impressive 336,529 copies sold, “Doki it” dominated sales charts while ranking No. 4 in downloads and No. 9 in radio airplay. This marks the band’s third single to reach No. 1, following the success of “UBU LOVE” and “The Answer,” with “UBU LOVE” having previously held the top position for two consecutive weeks.

Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s captivating track “Lilac” holds strong at No. 2. Despite a slight decline in streaming and video views compared to the previous week, this song has seen remarkable growth in downloads, increasing by 104%, radio airplay by 117%, and karaoke performances by 107%. The opener of the Oblivion Battery album has impressively maintained its position within the top 5 for 46 consecutive weeks, including six weeks at the coveted No. 1 spot.
