In a remarkable journey through the world of horror, Spooky Pinball LLC previously designed a thrilling pinball machine inspired by Halloween, the classic horror film directed by John Carpenter in 1978. Additionally, they developed a pinball machine based on Tobe Hooper’s 1974 classic, Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Continuing this exciting trend, they have now revealed their latest masterpiece, a pinball machine dedicated to Sam Raimi’s legendary Evil Dead franchise, which has captivated audiences for decades!
The Evil Dead Pinball machine represents a significant evolution in pinball gaming, as it immerses players in the chilling universes of the first two films: The Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn. Players will be led by the iconic character Ash Williams, voiced by Bruce Campbell, as they face off against the unyielding forces of evil. The game also features contributions from Ash’s sinister girlfriend, Linda (voiced by Lara Sluyter), and Professor Knowby (voiced by Scott Innes), adding layers of Deadite deception and guidance throughout the gameplay experience. This pinball machine is the most ambitious project from Spooky Pinball to date, showcasing the highest number of mechanical components ever included in one of their machines. With original audio clips, voiceovers, and sound effects from both films, Evil Dead Pinball promises a thrilling and immersive experience. The original film, The Evil Dead, written and directed by Sam Raimi, presents an intriguing premise: Ash, along with his girlfriend Linda, sister Cheryl, and friends Scotty and Shelly, venture to a secluded cabin in the woods for a weekend getaway. During their stay, they stumble upon the Naturom Demonto / Necronomicon Ex-Mortis (commonly referred to as “The Book of the Dead”), an ancient book whose incantations awaken the dead when read aloud.
