Having joined Guns N’ Roses in 2006, Ferrer became one of the band’s longest-serving members after Bryan “Brain” Mantia stepped down to support his wife and newborn child.

Reflecting on his unexpected journey with the band, Ferrer remarked, “Initially, it was only going to be a temporary thing. Just for two weeks. But I felt that if I could excel during that time, it could open many doors for me in the future.” This speaks to his ambition and dedication as a musician, showcasing his desire to contribute meaningfully to the band.

He added, “Brain had his brand new baby, and he felt it was important to be at home with his partner. Axl and the band were pleased with my performance. While Brain Mantia played drums on most tracks of the long-anticipated 2008 album Chinese Democracy, Ferrer also contributed to several songs, showcasing his versatility and talent within the group.
