As the engaging discussion with host Chuck Armstrong began, Morrison expressed his excitement, stating, “It seems like I am continually celebrating over here.”

He went on to share some remarkable news since their last chat, including that his single ‘Crack Cocaine’ soared to No. 1 on the rock charts, while the track ‘Gods of Rock N Roll’ is currently performing exceptionally well. Morrison also mentioned that his label has allowed him to release a deluxe edition of The Morrison Project, which is now available. “It’s always a great experience to revisit the music, remix tracks, add bonus material, and genuinely enhance the value for the fans,” he added. “Life is good over here in Chez Morrison.”

One of the standout bonus tracks that Morrison was keen to include in this deluxe edition was the demo version of his collaboration with Ozzy, “Crack Cocaine.” Although he initially hesitated to feature it, a gentle nudge from his friend changed his mind.

“That was actually Ozzy’s idea,” he revealed, sharing how the conversation unfolded.

“When I informed him about the deluxe edition and the exciting remix for ‘Crack Cocaine’, he suggested that fans often appreciate hearing original demos. We dug it up, and interestingly, the original demo closely resembles the final product. Over the years, I’ve learned that when Ozzy Osbourne offers advice, you should certainly consider it.”

Another valuable lesson Morrison learned from Ozzy pertains to the fresh rendition of his song, “Gods of Rock N Roll.”

He recounted, “He advised me to incorporate an orchestra and choir into it a decade ago,” admitting, “It seems I’ve finally taken his advice.”

Billy Morrison Shares Insights on Ozzy Osbourne’s Final Show in Birmingham

In addition to discussing his collaborations with Ozzy and his role in Billy Idol’s band, Morrison took a moment to express his disappointment about not being able to attend the highly anticipated Back to the Beginning show in Birmingham on July 5.

“It’s a sore point; it’s quite sad,” he lamented. “On that very night, Billy Idol has a performance scheduled in Austria. Both Sharon Osbourne and Billy Idol’s manager made efforts to coordinate, and we even explored a last-minute option right after our set, but unfortunately, it just won’t work out.”
