Hayley Williams Announces First Solo Tour for 2025
This past Friday, December 27, Paramore’s lead vocalist, Hayley Williams, celebrated her 36th birthday and took to Instagram Stories to share her thoughts on the occasion. In her post, she hinted at the exciting possibility of embarking on her very first solo tour sometime in the upcoming year. This revelation has generated a buzz among her fans, who are eager to see her live performances.
In a heartfelt message shared by the fan account weare_paramore, Williams expressed her gratitude for the birthday wishes she received, stating:
“Thanks for the birthday wishes. It’s beautiful to feel seen and celebrated. 35 felt like tilling soil and throwing little seeds down. Waiting, waiting, waiting to see. 36 is exciting and a little scary, already. So much to hope for. I’m still in the dirt, ready for whatever might grow. Fruit?”
In a subtly crossed-out comment, she added: “I’m going to try and finally play some shows next year that would’ve happened nearly 5 years ago now. That is, if the world doesn’t fucking stop before then. Here’s hoping. Hayley.” This candid remark has left fans anticipating her return to the stage with high hopes.

Her followers have shown immense enthusiasm at the prospect of seeing Williams perform her solo material in a live setting. Two Instagram users commented, “I am so happy she decided to do this! I cannot wait!” and “I [would] be over the moon if she did an Auckland solo concert!” Such excitement highlights the strong connection her fans feel towards her artistry.
As many fans are aware, Williams had initially planned to take her debut solo album, Petals for Armor, on tour back in 2020. However, the tour was postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as confirmed by Billboard at that time. The pandemic forced many artists to alter their plans, and Williams was no exception.
In a social media announcement regarding the tour’s cancellation (as reported by Billboard), Williams explained the situation with sincerity: “Hi friends, yes, it’s true. the remaining dates for Petals For Armor have been officially cancelled. this year has been hard on everybody for lots of different reasons. im sorry to add to that list… sorry for myself and for yall. refunds are available.” This statement resonated with fans who understood the challenges faced by artists during this unprecedented time.
Fortunately, she was able to perform a brief yet memorable set for NPR’s “Tiny Desk” (Home) series in December 2020, which provided a glimpse of her solo work and kept fans engaged during a difficult time.
On the Paramore front, the band released their sixth studio album, This Is Why, in 2023, which marked their first album since 2017’s After Laughter. The new album garnered widespread acclaim from both fans and critics alike, solidifying their status in the music industry. Earlier this year, Paramore made history by becoming the first female-fronted band to win the Best Rock Album award at the Grammy Awards. Additionally, they announced their newfound independence following a departure from Atlantic Records, signaling a new chapter in their musical journey.
If Hayley Williams does embark on a solo tour next year, it is likely she will revisit tracks from her debut album Petals for Armor as well as include songs from its 2021 follow-up, Flowers for Vases / Descansos. Fans are eager to see how her sound and performances have evolved since her initial plans.
