Hilaria Baldwin embraces the unique dynamics of her relationship with Ireland Baldwin, which defies traditional norms.
Despite Hilaria’s marriage to Alec Baldwin, making her Ireland’s stepmother, the 11-year age difference creates an unconventional bond that is anything but typical.
“I feel like it’s a distinctive relationship for a stepmother and stepdaughter, because that’s technically what we are,” Hilaria expressed during the March 23 episode of TLC’s The Baldwins. “However, I’m 11 years older than her. I didn’t raise her, and we have always found a lot of humor in that dynamic, which is a significant aspect of our relationship.”
For instance, the 41-year-old welcomed her and Alec’s youngest daughter, Ilaria Catalina Irena, just eight months prior to Ireland, 29, giving birth to her first daughter, Holland, with boyfriend RAC. Additionally, Hilaria and Alec are proud parents to Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 6, Eduardo, 4, and María Lucía, 4.)
“It’s so wonderful because we experienced pregnancy together, albeit slightly staggered,” Hilaria shared. “So, my baby is almost nine months older than Ireland’s baby, which adds another layer of fun to our family dynamics.”
