Patti Smith has officially unveiled her highly anticipated international tour, marking the remarkable 50th anniversary of her iconic album Horses. This tour is a celebration of Smith’s profound impact on music and culture.
The inaugural performance of this exciting tour is scheduled for October 6 in Dublin, Ireland. Following this, she will grace various venues across Europe and the U.K. before making her way to America starting November 10. Cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, and Washington D.C. are among the many stops planned, culminating in a grand finale on November 29 in Philadelphia, ensuring fans across multiple regions can experience her artistry live.
At every concert, Smith will perform Horses in its entirety, offering fans a unique opportunity to relive this classic album in a live setting. Accompanying her will be her longtime collaborators, Lenny Kaye on guitar and Jay Dee Daugherty on drums, both of whom were instrumental in the creation of the original 1975 album. “Please join us to help celebrate the final ride of our irreverent thoroughbred,” noted a press release (via Rolling Stone).
