Hospitalized Dave Mason Faces Serious Infection Challenges

Dave Mason has made the difficult decision to cancel three months of concert performances due to being hospitalized with a “serious infection.” This health issue arose suddenly, as indicated in a recent message shared on the 78-year-old rocker’s official Facebook page. The announcement expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and prayers from fans during this challenging period. The message stated, “The entire Dave Mason family, band, and crew deeply appreciate your love and prayers during this time.” Furthermore, it was clarified that tickets for all shows scheduled in March, April, and May will be refunded at the point of purchase. Everyone is hoping for a swift and smooth recovery for Mason!

Mason’s highly anticipated Let It Flow tour was scheduled to kick off on March 20 in Augusta, Georgia. Additionally, he had already planned a month-long break in June. Currently, a performance on July 11 in Kansas City is being viewed as his expected return to the stage, although this will depend heavily on his recovery progress and overall health. Furthermore, Mason has several upcoming dates lined up with renowned bands Kansas and 38 Special for the summer season, and fans are eagerly awaiting updates on his situation.

His musical journey didn’t stop there; in 1970, he joined forces with Delaney & Bonnie, which showcased his versatility and talent. Subsequently, he launched a successful solo career, with his most notable hit, “We Just Disagree,” soaring to No. 12 on the charts in 1977, solidifying his status as a solo artist.

Mason’s illustrious career also included a brief yet impactful stint with Fleetwood Mac in the mid-’90s, following the departures of iconic musicians Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks.
