‘It Ends with Us’ Premiere: Bethenny Frankel’s Wild Story
Bethenny Frankel Shares Insightful Experience from the It Ends With Us Premiere
Bethenny Frankel is revealing intriguing details and behind-the-scenes moments from the It Ends With Us film premiere, captivating audiences with her candid storytelling.
The Real Housewives of New York City star has taken to TikTok to share her “off-putting” experience at the premiere in New York, amidst the ongoing legal disputes between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni that have captured media attention.
“I have the craziest It Ends With Us premiere story that I completely forgot about, and I’m piecing it together now,” Frankel disclosed, noting she had initially withheld the story from public ears for fear that sharing it might lead to her being “canceled” in today’s social media-driven climate.
The 54-year-old media personality recounted attending the premiere alongside her colleague, Danielle. They walked the red carpet only to learn that there was an unexpected hour-long break between the carpet event and the film screening, which left them both puzzled.

“One thing that I’ve never seen in over 20 years of going to film premieres… Now maybe that happens. I’ve never seen that happen,” she highlighted, before adding that she and Danielle decided to go out for margaritas instead.
Frankel mentioned that during this outing, she unexpectedly ran into one of Lively’s staff members, someone she had met previously, which added an interesting twist to her evening.
“They’re a bit distant and a little cold towards me,” Frankel reflected on the encounter. “There’s just something that made me think, ‘Wow, okay,’ and in other circumstances, this person would not behave this way. It was slightly off-putting for both Danielle and me, and we both noticed it.”

Things intensified when Frankel made her way back to the premiere after the unexpected break.
“So we walk upstairs and we see Anna Wintour. She passes us, and I’m like, ‘Oh my God,’” she exclaimed. “Then we keep walking, and this man says to me, ‘Oh Bethenny, Justin [Baldoni], he was on your podcast.’ He’s in this one line, and we greet each other with pleasantries.”
Frankel confessed that while she didn’t initially remember Baldoni, he was “very nice.” She later realized that Baldoni was in line to watch the movie in one theater, while Wintour was heading towards a different one, adding to the peculiar atmosphere of the evening.
“Typically, not normally, but always, unless it’s a bizarre different screening, the premiere is in one large theater,” Frankel explained. “But here, he’s in one theater, something’s happening elsewhere. I saw Anna walking this way,” she noted, pointing out the unusual arrangement.

Frankel noted that once seated in the theater, it felt as though “everyone” was separated, creating an unsettling atmosphere.
“The vibe was off… so what I didn’t tell anyone because I thought I’d be canceled, was that we left,” she admitted, expressing her concern about receiving backlash for leaving a premiere after making an appearance on the red carpet without attending the film screening.
“The vibes weren’t vibing,” she humorously reflected on why they decided to leave the event early. “Like, wasted hair, makeup, outfit, to go to the city, drink a margarita in a mason jar, take a bucket of popcorn, take two bites, see Anna Wintour, see Justin Baldoni, and then leave to return to Connecticut,” she recounted.
“Like, talk about blue balls,” she joked, sharing her disappointment despite being excited to see the film.
She further explained that “something was undoubtedly off from the start, and it was palpable,” which contributed to her decision to leave the premiere.
“It felt like I was doing something wrong, but it also felt like I was doing something right,” Frankel shared her mixed feelings about her choice to depart. “Something was f–cked,” she concluded, leaving her audience intrigued by the unfolding drama.

Overview of the Ongoing Legal Dispute
Last week, Baldoni initiated a significant $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times over its coverage of Lively’s legal challenge. Subsequently, Lively filed her own federal lawsuit, reiterating allegations of sexual harassment and asserting that Baldoni and others orchestrated a smear campaign against her.
In his lawsuit, according to The New York Post, Baldoni accused Lively of “systematically sidelining” him from the film’s promotional activities, including alleged attempts to have him banned from the film’s New York City premiere.
“Further undermining Baldoni’s role, Lively initially refused to allow his attendance at the film’s premiere,” the lawsuit claims, as reported by the outlet. “Only after significant pressure did she reluctantly agree to permit Baldoni and the Wayfarer team to attend, but under humiliating conditions.”
Among the claimed “conditions,” Baldoni alleged that he was “segregated” from the rest of the cast during the premiere event.
“The Wayfarer team and their families, including Baldoni and Heath, were segregated from the main cast, prohibited from attending the exclusive after-party, and forced to arrange their own celebration at additional cost,” the lawsuit detailed.
He further recounted the alleged treatment he and his family experienced during the event, highlighting the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the premiere.
“Baldoni’s participation on the red carpet was cut short, and his family and friends were reportedly confined to a makeshift holding area in the basement before being escorted into a separate theater after Lively’s departure,” the lawsuit asserted. “Not only had Lively taken the spotlight from the film, but she also deprived Baldoni and his team of any genuine opportunity to celebrate their hard work.”
Lively’s legal representatives later issued a statement responding to the filing, addressing the allegations made by Baldoni.
“Nothing in this lawsuit changes anything regarding the claims advanced in Ms. Lively’s California Civil Rights Division Complaint, nor her federal complaint filed earlier today,” the statement read. “This lawsuit is based on the clearly false premise that Ms. Lively’s administrative complaint against Wayfarer and others was a ruse based on a choice ‘not to file a lawsuit against Baldoni, Wayfarer,’ and that ‘litigation was never her ultimate goal.’”
“As demonstrated by the federal complaint filed by Ms. Lively earlier today, the context for the Wayfarer lawsuit is false,” the statement continued. “While we won’t litigate this matter in the press, we do encourage people to read Ms. Lively’s complaint in its entirety. We look forward to addressing each of Wayfarer’s allegations in court.”
