The talented cast of Lanterns also includes Kelly MacDonald from Boardwalk Empire in the role of Sheriff Kerry, depicted as a “no-nonsense woman deeply devoted to her family and the tight-knit community she serves.” Additionally, Garret Dillahunt from Fear the Walking Dead will play William Macon, characterized as a modern cowboy who presents himself as “a self-righteous, conspiracy-minded individual, masking his ruthless ambitions behind a charming and calculated exterior.” Other notable cast members include Poorna Jagannathan as Zoe, who is described as “effortlessly confident and poised in any environment, showcasing intelligence and cunning that rivals even the most powerful men around her,” and Ulrich Thomsen as Sinestro. Furthermore, Jason Ritter (known for Matlock) has recently joined the ensemble as Billy Macon, a charming individual who is heavily influenced by his father’s ambitions, embodying the small-town ego with much at stake.

At the helm of this ambitious project is Chris Mundy from Ozark, who will serve as the showrunner and executive producer. He will collaborate with Damon Lindelof, known for The Leftovers, and Tom King, renowned for Supergirl, who will also take on executive producer duties. The talented James Hawes, acclaimed for his directorial work on Black Mirror and Slow Horses, will direct the first two episodes.
