After completing his degree at New York University, Baena ventured to Los Angeles, where he seized his significant opportunity in Hollywood by collaborating with the acclaimed director David O. Russell. This partnership proved to be a pivotal moment in his career, culminating in the co-writing of the 2004 film I Heart Huckabees, which featured an impressive cast including Dustin Hoffman, Jude Law, Mark Wahlberg, and Lily Tomlin.
