Jenny Mollen Responds to Backlash Over Flight with Lice
Jenny Mollen Responds to Controversy Over Flight with Head Lice is setting the record straight.
The City of Likes author and wife of actor Jason Biggs has taken to social media to clarify the circumstances surrounding her recent five-hour flight. Reports surfaced suggesting that she knowingly traveled while infected with head lice, prompting Mollen to express her astonishment. “Who would willingly sit with lice on their head for a five-hour flight if they knew they had lice before boarding!??!” she exclaimed on her Instagram Story on November 14. Mollen clarified that she was unaware of the lice infestation until a head examination later that evening unveiled the issue.
In a candid video shared on Instagram on October 29, the 45-year-old mother revealed that her friend conducted a head check during the flight, leading to the unexpected discovery of lice. Initially, Mollen attributed her itching to “perimenopause symptoms,” highlighting the challenges many women face during this transitional phase. “I have f–king lice and honestly, I think I know where I got it,” she admitted, hinting at a source without naming names, stating, “I’m not gonna call that person out, but she knows who she is.”
Mollen, a devoted mother to sons Sid, 10, and Lazlo, 7, with her husband, the American Pie star, also shared a humorous yet practical detail. To safeguard her fellow passengers during the flight, she creatively fashioned a protective covering for part of her hair using a plastic bag from the in-flight headphones. This resourceful act demonstrates her consideration for others, even amidst an embarrassing situation.
